My favorite monitor setup

Use whatever you want for your center monitor, but for the sides use 4K monitor(s) rotated portrait. Why?
- When you use a 4K in portrait, you get the real estate of 2-4 screens in high detail.
- With this setup, you don't have to look hard to the left or right, everything is pretty central.
- Most modern applications let you zoom, so I keep the monitor at 100% scaling.
- In Windows you can use TidyTabs to keep a set of programs tabbed into one area, reducing the need for extra screens. In Linux there are other tools. FancyZones in Windows can help with positioning as well.
